Central Senior Hunter Davis recently signed to continue running Cross Country at Olivet Nazarene University. Pictured are Coach Harry Kunsch, Coach Dave Ladehoff and ONU Coach Kyle Rago.
The Boys' Basketball Team will play PBL in the IHSA Regional on Saturday, February 19 AT PBL. Game time is 1:00PM.
Boys' Basketball Schedule Change
With both teams anticipating playing an IHSA Regional game on Saturday, February 19, 2022, the boys' games at Iroquois West scheduled for Friday, 2-18-22 have been rescheduled for Thursday, 2-17-22. JV game will begin at 5:30/Varsity at 7:00. Bus time is 4:30.

As the girls' basketball regional game on Saturday, 2-12-22 is an IHSA event, NO PASSES will be accepted. All entrants must pay admission.

Dear Parents and Staff,
As you may already know, late on February 4, 2022 Sangamon County Circuit Judge Raylene Grischow entered a temporary restraining order (TRO) prohibiting the defendant school districts from (i) requiring students and teachers to wear masks, absent a lawful order of quarantine issued in conformance with the IDPH Act; (ii) excluding students and teachers based on an alleged close contact unless due process is afforded and IDPH procedures are followed; and (iii) requiring weekly COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated employees without first providing due process of law.
It is anticipated the Governor, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Illinois State Board of Education (the State Defendants), will immediately appeal the Judge’s order to the appellate court seeking to reverse the TRO. In fact, the State Defendants have already requested Judge Grischow to stay the enforcement of the TRO until the appellate court rules on the matter.
It is the intention of Central CUSD #4 to comply with the TRO until otherwise directed by the trial or appellate court. While the district encourages the use of masks and COVID-19 testing (which the district will continue to make available), it will not exclude students or staff who choose either not to wear a mask or to be tested.

Thank you for participating in E-learning days for the past two days. Unfortunately, we still have concerns with country and side road conditions. As a result, we will be closed tomorrow (2/4/22). There will be no E-learning provided. Tomorrow will be taken as a traditional "snow day". Enjoy the day and we hope to be back to a normal schedule next week!

The RVC Boys' Basketball end of season tournament has been set. The Comets will play at home all three nights. Each night will have a JV game beginning at 5:30 PM, followed by the Varsity contest at 7:00 PM. The Comets' schedule is:

As a result of the forecast for heavy snow Tuesday night through Thursday afternoon, there is the possibility that we may need to declare E-learning days this week. If E-learning days are needed, they will be announced as soon as significant snow is in the area and impacting travel.
In preparation for this possibility, please contact your children's school if you are in need of a Chromebook before the conclusion of school tomorrow (2/1/22).
