Central High School senior Makayla Austin was recently named Kankakee Area Career Center (KACC) Student of the Year in the CNA program.
Austin is a second-year CNA student and received the award because she had been named CNA Student of the Quarter at least once. Austin received that award twice. The selection is made after the instructors look at the other students of the quarter, as well as on the recommendation of her teachers Ms. Luedtke and Ms. Koskinas.
Austin is the daughter of Chianna Langley of Martinton.
