HOMEWORK HANGOUT September 27th -Mrs. Curran. September 29th - Mrs. Brough.  

 

DETENTION:  Detention will be with Mrs. Dundas on Tuesday, September 27th.

Anime Club: September 28th from 3:30-4:30pm we will have a mix of the activities to plan out our year, and snacks will be available. No registration is needed, but middle school students need to turn in a permission note to the office that morning to stay after school.  

Pumpkin Patch: On October 1st at 10am, the Central Citizens' Library District will be hosting a Wood Pumpkin Craft. Come create your own pumpkin patch, and you won’t have to water it! This craft is open to all ages, and is FREE! Please Register by September 28th.

 

ON THE EXTRA-CURRICULAR SCHEDULE:

 

SPEECH: Continue to practice your speech!

BASEBALL: Baseball players please turn in jerseys to Coach Kohn today! (Friday)  We will take a team pic with the conference championship trophy Monday morning. 

CROSS COUNTRY: Meet at KCC on Saturday @ 9:00.  Meet at the gazebo in Chebanse by 7:30.  

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL: The Lady Rockets started off their season against Limestone on Thursday, Sept. 22.  The 7th grade team ended up scoring 8 points in their loss, but showed improvement as the night went on.  The 8th grade got the W with a score of 30-15!  Practice on Friday is from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and is crucial as we have 3 games next week.  On Monday, Sept. 26, we host PBL for the 7th grade game beginning at 5:30 and the 8th grade following.  The girls should go home and return to the gym at 5:00 p.m.  On Tuesday, Sept. 27, we travel to Prairie Central in Forrest for 6th, 7th and 8th grade games.  The bus will leave at 2:45 from Nash.  The 6th grade game starts at 4:30 p.m.  Reminder:  The bus will only return to Nash and not drop off in the towns.  You must have a note turned into the office from your parent to ride with another parent!

Executive Board Meeting Wednesday, September 28 at 7:40. Full Council Meeting Friday, September 30 7:40 in Mrs. Thompson’s room.

Thank you to all of the 5th grade students who expressed interest in joining student council this year. I received more applications this year than ever before. The student council executive board, Mrs. Tronsen, and I have decided that we are going to keep everyone who turned their applications in on time. I am proud to announce the following 5th graders are now members of the Nash Student Council.
