6th Grade Boys Win Holiday Tournament

The Nash Rockets 6^th Grade Boys Basketball Team participated in the King Middle School’s 8^th Annual Holiday Tournament December 12^th – 14^th. The Rockets opening round opponent was the #1 seeded Liberty Intermediate School’s Red Team. The Rockets fell short in that battle 36 – 9. The following night found the Rockets battling the #5 seeded Lorenzo Smith School. The Rockets picked up the intensity level and won pulling away in the 4^th quarter 30 – 18. The win put the Rockets in the Consolation Championship against Liberty Intermediate School’s Blue Team on Wednesday night. The Consolation Championship game was a defensive battle. The Rockets held a halftime lead of 9 – 4. The Rockets increased the lead to 13 – 4 after three quarters and held on for a 15 – 12 victory and the Consolation Championship!!!
