Lady Comets finish fourth at state meet

The Central High School Lady Comet track team set a new standard for all future Lady Comet teams. The Lady Comets tallied 33 points on its way to a fourth-place finish (out of 69 teams) at the IHSA 1A State Meet. No Lady Comet team – in any sport – had finished in the top 10 at a state competition. The 4x400-meter relay team ( Emery Podowicz, Hanna Gray, Clare Peters and Andrea Pace ) broke its own school . . .

Youth Camps this Summer

Basketball & Track Camps for Boys & Girls

This June, there will be a basketball camp from June 6-9 for boys going into grades 2-8 and June 13-16 for girls going into grades 3-8. New this summer will be a Track & Field camp for both boys and girls going into grades 2-7. Wrestling and football camps will also take place later this summer, in July. Tradtional Schedule Returning

Central High School and Nash Middle School will be returning to a traditional schedule for the 2017-2018 school year. Around 20 years have passed since Central and Nash last had a traditional schedule. In preparation for the move, a committee of staff and administration has already begun the process of creating a timed schedule.
