Resource Room

Welcome to my web page.  It has been my pleasure to work with the LD children in Central School District for the past 24 years. I also work with children in the regular classroom who do not have IEPs.  The elementary level has always been my favorite. Teaching reading is a special love of mine.

I received a BSE with a double major in elementary and special education from Northern Illinois University.  I have taken graduate hours in learning disabilities from Governor State University.  In the past, I taught two years at the Kendall County Co-op in a self-contained classroom and worked for two years with developmentally disabled adults at United Developmental Services. I live in Limestone with my husband who is a retired fifth grade teacher. I have three grown children.

We are hard at work earning AR points for the second quarter.  A number of the resource students have made the AR party already. Help your child by encouraging them to read each night. Ask to see their AR book and take time to listen to them read to you. The best way to become a good reader is to read!  You can give your child this special gift of reading.

If you have any questions, you can reach me at Chebanse Elementary 697-2642 or e mail me at cerazmus@mail.clifton-u4.k12.ill.us. I will be happy to answer any questions.
