Hi, my name is Mrs. Hummel, I am the Librarian at Chebanse Elementary. I graduated from Monmouth College in 1977 with a B.A. and Chicago State University in 2003 with a Master of Library Science. I have been employed with the district for over 20 years.
I have been married to my husband, Marc for over 32 years. We have two daughters, Jennifer and Jessica. Jennifer will be getting married next summer. Jessica is a Freshman at Illinois State University majoring in Animal Science.

The AR Program is well underway. The 3rd and 4th grade are working towards a Popcorn Party. Students must achieve an 85 percent average on tests and must be within or above their ZPD range at the end of each quarter.
Kindergarten students checked out books this week.. Please spend quality time reading with your children.
