March

Greetings!

This month in science, students will be taking the ISAT test at the beginning of the month.  We will complete some mini lessons as last minute preparation for this test.  These lessons will include forces and simple machines, the solar system, water cycle, rocks, and light.  During the remaining portion of the month, we will continue working on our electricity unit including working with series and parallel circuits.  We will also work with magnets and electromagnets this month.  Towards the end of the month, we will begin working on a sound unit.

In math, we will also be taking the ISAT test at the beginning of the month.  We will have a few mini lessons to help prepare for our test.  These include basic algebra, problem solving, coordinates, and probability.  The remaining portion of the month we will focus on learning our multiplication facts and division facts and multiplying large numbers.

Our social studies lesson will begin again after ISAT testing.  We will work with creating businesses and learning about the economy.  We will also start working with the states of the southeast region.

I hope you have a wonderful month!  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Mrs. Kramer
