Mrs. Morse 4A

by Carol Morse

January 11, 2010

It is a NEW DAY for 4A.   I am very happy to be teaching in the classroom again.   I have taught in the Chebanse Elementary building for 32 years and this is the last.   I have had a wonderful time getting to know the students in 4A - they are all caring, delightful children.  We are starting our December by writing a Children's Christmas book and we will read them to some Kindergarten students.   Lots of fun!

Enjoy a  wonderful and safe holiday and be sure to give the "gift" of reading.

January has been cold and snowy.  We haven't been able to go outside recently so I bought some puzzles for everyone to use.  They seem to enjoy them.  We spent a remarkable week  studying famous aviators - and I think we all learned some nice information.   Too bad we can't press a magic button and be airborne!   Keep warm, keep the hot chocolate coming and keep reading!

I keep waiting for warmer weather but that doesn't seem to be happening very soon.   We are going to be looking at the OLYMPIC GAMES 2010 starting February 12.  We will be learning about some events and Ms. Bartlett ( our PE teacher) is also going to incorporate some PE activities to go along with winter events.   Should be fun and interesting.  Have a great February!

March came in like a lion and that is all right  with me...  ISAT dominates the first part of March, but then we will return to our textbook reading stories.  I can't wait because a lot of good stories are left to be read.  Lots to learn without a lot of time left!
