March is exciting! We celebrate many authors birthdays in March...(Dr. Seuss, Mem Fox, and Jack Ezra Keats to name a few.) We also celebrate St. Patrick's Day and welcome the first day of spring!
Our favorite parts of spring are warm days, gentle breezes, blue skies, blooming flowers, and green grass.
We will begin our subtraction unit in March. Please have your child continue addition facts to 12, count coins, practice time to the hour and half hour, spelling and word wall words, and read, read, read!
Important dates:
- Monday, March 1 - no school (Casimir Pulaski Day)
- Monday, March 8 - word wall reading and spelling tests begin
- Sunday, March 14 - daylight saving time begins
- Monday, March 15 - yearbook order due
- Friday, March 19 - end of 3rd quarter, early dismissal at 2 pm

May the luck of the Irish be with all of us!
