I want to welcome you and your child to my classroom. This is my fifth year of teaching first grade at Chebanse Grade School. I received my bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and my master's degree from Olivet Nazarene University. I reside in Clifton with my husband, Greg, our two teenagers, Austin and Elizabeth, our two dogs, Rocko and Copper, and our cat, Mitzy. I enjoy reading, cooking, shopping, watching football, spending time with family and friends, and TEACHING!
Reminders:
- Please complete and return all office forms if you have not already done so
- Please remember that our school day BEGINS at 8:10
- Your child may bring a water bottle (sport cap) and healthy snack to eat during the morning
- Please help your child to remember to bring their purple folder back to school every day
- Nightly homework is reading 15-20 minutes, math facts (addition to 10) and spelling words (spelling begins Mon, Sept 13)
Important dates:
- Mon, Sept 6 - no school (Labor Day)
- Mon, Sept 20 - fall pictures
- Tues, Sept 21 - open house (6-7 PM)
We have been busy getting to know each other and learning about the rules and routines of first grade...I look forward to our classroom having a very successful year! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
