My name is Mrs. Grenhoff and I have been a teacher at Central for over twenty years, all in first grade! I have a sweatshirt the children love that says, "I'm Still In First Grade And I Love It!" My sentiments exactly!! I graduated from Olivet University after my own children started school. I am married to Ron and he is retired from United Parcel Service. I have two children that have graduated from college and are married. The delight of my life is my grandchild Alex and I spend as much time with him as I can. Ron and I travel a lot and I have seen most of the states and we have been to Mexico many times. I love working with first graders and the adjustments they have to make at becoming independent workers. Parents are often surprised at the curriculum and the level of difficulty. My goal is to help children not only learn the basic skills, but to develop a sense of responsibility to achieve success. Our children are the future and I hope to make a difference. Welcome back for a New Year!! During the month of January we will be studying about our body and the five senses. In math we will be working on double digit addition and subtraction. Keep your child reading as we work on the long vowels and blends.
