Kankakee Area Career Center inducts six Central students

Six Central High School seniors were recently inducted into the Kankakee Area Career Center (KACC) Chapter of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).

Kaitlin Bowers (Chebanse) is a second year law enforcement student.

Ethan Fritz (Clifton) is a second year computer technology student.

Brandon Kooyenga (Chebanse) is a second year construction technology student.

Landon Norgaard (Clifton) is a second year welding student.

Seth Seabaugh (Clifton) is a second year computer technology student.

Zowie Trudeau (Chebanse) is a first year child development student.

In order to be inducted, the students had to have met the six following criteria:

  1. Second year senior enrolled at KACC in good standing.
  2. Maintain a 3.67 grade point average for three semesters.
  3. Maintain a 4.0 grade point average in employability for three semesters.
  4. Receive approval and recommendation from KACC instructor(s).
  5. Participate in at least
    • 15 documented hours of volunteer activities throughout the community
    • 15 documented hours of job shadowing
    • 15 hours of internship during high school
  6. National NTHS Bylaws will be followed as a guideline for all KACC NHS students.

The six were inducted at an induction ceremony on Wednesday, February 28 at Kresge Auditorium on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University.
