Computer Imagine of Molecules

by David Ladehoff

November 29, 2010

The Inorganic and Chem Comm students are relating the chemical formulas to 3D images created in a computer program. The inorganic students are studying the effects electron behavior to whether the compound should be named as an ion, covalent compound, or acid. Chemistry in the Community are finishing the Resources unit and finding the relationship of a mole to the average atomic mass in grams.

The linked program is shareware for education purposes from ACD Labs. You can use a search engine to sign up for your own copy of the program with tech support and update information if you wish to further your learning in 3D modeling.
