Marvelous March

Greetings from K-4!
March has been a marvelous month. We have engaged in numerous learning activities which include:
- Reading: Letter people- Mr. R, Mr. G, Ms. E, and Ms. J. We created many CVC words with our letter people friends and have become sensational sentence writers. Along with the letter people we worked on Tucker signing for sounds, as well as phonemic awareness with Dr. Heggerty.
- Math: We are able to identify pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. It was especially fun when we played grocery store during one of our center times. We also created a clock which enabled us to tell time by the hour!
- Science: We went to the depths of the deep blue sea to learn about the ocean and its' inhabitants. The unit was capped off by a field trip to the Shedd Aquarium. What an experience! Other science activities included the life-cycle of a butterfly, the parts of a flower and the colors of spring.
- Writing: Subjects included transportation, exercise, gardens and rainbows.
As you can tell it was a Marvelous March!
See you in April.
