by Diane Taden

February 24, 2010

Often a multi-disciplinary team of school professionals meet on a regular basis to address teachers' concerns about struggling students and to help design intervention plans. The purpose of this team is to be an effective problem-solving group that: 1. Assesses teachers' concerns about student academic difficulties 2. Identifies student strengths, interests and talents 3. Reviews baseline data that has been collected 4. Sets projected outcomes and methods for measuring progress 5. Designs specific intervention plans 6. Reviews and monitors intervention plans 7. Develops a plan to communicate plan/results with students' parents.
