Nash 7th Grade Basketball Earns Regional Title

The Nash 7th grade basketball team entered their regional as the number one seed. In the semi-final round they faced off against PBL. PBL and Nash had met twice prior to this game. Each game was a very close game. Both games were decided by less than 5 points. The third game proved to be much of the same. Nash defeated PBL 31-26 in a very hard fought battle between the two conference tournament finalist.

Momence was Nash's opponent in the regional championship. Nash lost to Momence on a buzzer beater eight days earlier. In order to win this game and earn the championship Nash knew they had stop Momence's two offensive threats. With an outstanding team effort Nash achieved both of their goals. They earned the 3A regional title by a score of 34-19.

The team and the coaches would like to thank all of the people who attended the game. The gym was packed with family, staff, the Rocket Rowdies, the Crater Crazies, and the high school basketball coaches and players. It was an awesome environment to play in. We encourage you to attend the sectional championship in PBL.

The sectional final is in PBL on Wednesday at 6pm.
