Choice Assignments
by Mrs. Huddlestun
As we start off the second half of the school year, some exciting changes are going to occur in the classroom. With procedures firmly in place, students will be participating in more partner, small group, and independent activities. Many of these activities will encourage students to use time wisely and work cooperatively while learning at a pace that is suited to individual learning styles.
Students will be offered “Choice Assignments”. When students complete their daily class assignments, they will be permitted to choose from several Reading, Language, and Spelling weekly activities. In most cases, students will have ample time to start on the activity in class and may take it home to complete. In order to receive credit for “Choice Assignments”, they must be turned in before school concludes for the week. Late assignments will not be accepted and a grade of 0% will be recorded.
When available, I will upload the file of the assignment sheet that is given to the students on Monday. Please note that these assignments will sometimes be written on the dry erase board in the classroom and not available to post on this page. Students are responsible for writing down their "choice" in their assignment books.
2.8.10 to 3.12.10 No Choice assignments due to ISAT preparation and testing.
