November Notes

by Cindy Orwig

November 30, 2009

Wow! What a busy November!             Snowman

We have been busy writing, reading and learning about numbers. Here's a quick peek!

READING:

  • Met Ms. A  and Ms. P.  We are beginning to read decodable books and identifying many Everyday words.
  • We've explored Ants, Farms, Pigs, and Thanksgiving as November themes.

WRITING:

  • We have written about turkeys, pigs, and ants.
  • We also created word lists and mini-books.

MATH:

  • We can write the numbers 0-10, recognize a number line and put numbers in number order.

SOCIAL STUDIES:

  • Explored the Pilgrims and Native American life and completed the unit with a Thanksgiving feast in the classroom.  It was great fun!

These are just a few of the subjects we touched on in the month of November.  We are looking forward to our Christmas concert on December 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the high school.  See you then!

Have a Delightful December,

Mrs. Orwig and the K-4 Kids!
