World History-

We have been focused the past couple of weeks on Egyptian culture.  The class has looked at a variety of geographical and cultural challenges that the Egyptians faced.  Just recently we competed a video on the "Great Pyramids of Giza", in which the students were able to see the excavation and exploration of new sites at Giza.  This was recently filmed this past February showing how history is always changing!!

Intro to Social Studies-

In "Intro" the students have already built up study skills and challenged themselves with critical thinking which helps introduce the students to not only the social studies department but expectations of a true "High School" student.

We just recently completed a unit on Psychology which is always exciting.  The students learned everything from Maslow and his pyramid of needs to the ID Ego and Super Ego of Freud.  We are completing the unit with a close look at the life of John Nash and his battle with Schizophrenia.

World Geography-

State and Capitals are the theme at the moment.  Students have been creating a map of the US and learning the core geographical features of the contiguous US.  This week students will begin to continue learning about Canada and the US.

On The Mat-

Wrestling will begin with Open Mats this coming October!!
