Physics Races

by David Ladehoff

March 04, 2009

Central Physics students were early rising to race their potential energy vehicles in February. We had 12 students in the competition to power a car to travel on a 12" balloon. Red was used for Friday the 13th, just before Valentines Day. (Also the day for the Power, Energy, and Work Exam)

Currently, the students are studying angular inertia, angular acceleration, and torque. The next exam will be 27th of the month.

Return to this site to see the Comet results for the Rube Goldburg Contest at the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana. The competition for changing a bulb for an energy saver light source is scheduled for March 13th.
