PE Classes Are Off an Running

The Central High School Physical Education Dept has set a very postive standard pertaining to the phyical activities in the classroom. For instance, a typical day in class would consist of a 4 min. run as a warmup. That would be followed by 5 to 8 mins. of stretching. The days activity would then follow and would last about 35 to 40 mins. The final 10 to 12 mins consists of a cardio challenge, followed by a period of stretching to cool down. The students were given the guidelines of how class was to be evaluated. The first 50 mins. of class is worth 70% of their grade, and the last 10 mins is worth 30%. The students have responded in a very positive way, even though some have had to use muscles that they didn't realize existed...
By the way the photo you see is a new addition to the Denton family. My daughter Samantha gave birth to Ava Ann Johnson, on 9-3-08, weighing 8 lbs. 14oz., and 21 in. in length. I am looking forward to being the best grandfather I can be...
