Introduction to Agriculture

Introduction to Agriculture - Is an introductory course which introduces students to the agricultural industry as well as developing skills in leadership, public speaking and student development. This course is the foundation of the Agricultural program. Students will experience the classroom/lab, the FFA Organization, and develop their own individualized SAE programs. Any student wishing to get involved in the FFA should begin their experience with this course.
This years accomplishments to date:
The Greenhand parliamentary procedure team placed 2nd at the Section 10 Competition.
Ellie Bretzman won the Central FFA creed speaking competition and place 3rd at the Section 10 competition.
Rhianna Denault won a scholarship from the Illinois FFA Alumni to attend the Made For Excellence conference in Oak Brook on Jan. 19 - 20.
Students Michael Weber, Michael Prairie, Becka Lalonde, Collin Hills, Stephen Girard, Matthew Radtke, and TJ Hanson will attend MFE in Jan.
All students are currently making plans to develop their own Supervised Agricultural Experience Program.
